Many of you probably know of Denny Carleton, a longtime Cleveland based singer songwriter, with his earliest roots in The Choir and Lost Souls bands. Denny is a prolific songwriter who has taught his expertise in many different situations. Denny has agreed to teach a small group in a workshop setting at Laleure Vineyards in Parkman, OH on August 20, in the evening starting around 6:30 for several hours. The cost will be $35 per person. The environment will take into account the COVID virus, and as such very adequate spacing will be adhered to. We will also be limiting the group to 10 people.

Denny has been a long lasting figure in the Cleveland music scene, having played with notable '60s bands such as The Choir and the Lost Souls
Denny's first love is songwriting and has continued on writing, performing and recording through all of his musical genres changes , including punk ,Gospel ,blues ,jazz folk ,experimental, Avant Garde , and theatrical pieces
As a gifted guitarist, he is also a singer and prolific songwriter whose blend of original material utilizing Folk, Rock and Acoustic influences has been aired on 300 college and public radio stations in the U.S. and Canada.He has recorded 12 CDS, which are available on I Tunes and Spotify.
He has written for Chagrin Valley Little Theatre and The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby theatrical presentations, and also has composed a Mass for St Gabriel’s in Mentor.His Avant-Garde Color with Crayons was voted No 1 for the year in 1985 by Ritchie Unterberger from California’s Option magazine and his new CD Shadowlands Dec 2019 was reviewed by the North Coast Voice. “This is excellent and intricate songwriting,with plenty of nuance and thoughtful lyrics and the songs are well constructed and spotlessly recorded.”
Denny has taught songwriting, at Cuyahoga and Lakeland Community College and the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby and is looking forward to sharing his gifts and encouraging others in their songwriting journey at Laleure Vineyards songwriting workshop.
