Pick It Up

Went down to the Euclid creek last week To enjoy a nice spring day.

But what did I see but a bunch of beer cans Where the tiger ducks used to play.

Pick it up.

I'm no policeman, know nothing of ozone, But I know what I want to say.

It don't make you a man to throw your beer canWhere the tiger lilies used to lay.

Pick it up.

In kindergarten they tell all the kids When your done with it put it away.

So throw your wrappers from your burgers and fries. In the trash can not in the lake.

Pick it up.

The earth won't speak and neither will the lake, But I bet they 've got a lot to say.

'Cause I just heard a very strong word -Pick it up before it's too late.

Pick it up.
